On Friday night, in episode 9 of season 4 of The Originals, a Mikaelson was sacrificed. After the Hollow trapped Elijah, Klaus, Hayley and Freya rallied to Marcel and Vincent to find him and imprison the evil spirit forever before it re-emerged in his own body. If Elijah was in bad shape, Klaus had offered to sacrifice himself so that his mind would be transferred into a pendant that would then allow his sister to bring him back to life. If the witch had also found a cure to cure Hayley’s boyfriend, the Mikaelson’s plans were wiped out in season 4 of The Originals . But fortunately, Freya managed to preserve the spirit of Elijah .
