If he has managed to record a dozen songs for his 51st album, Johnny Hallyday has unfortunately had to abandon his project of an album of covers of country.

Nothing could prevent him from doing music. Condemned by lung cancer it was officially announced last march, Johnny Hallyday had only one idea in mind : to complete the registration of his 51st album. Forced to rest in his home in Marnes-la-Coquette, the Savannah, the rocker had installed a recording studio in his home, and relied on the presence of Yodelice and Yarol Poupaud for the help to arrive at the end of this project. A goal accomplished, as he has finally managed to complete a dozen songs, the output of which would be expected in 2018.

Weakened, Johnny Hallyday has had to, alas, given up to another ambition : an album of covers of country of which he dreamed for a long time. “I think that this album here, I’ll be making in Nashville and Memphis, so a bit of a return to the sources,” he said at the microphone of RTL in October 2016. The same for his tour ” rock and blues “, which he had proudly announced on his Twitter account last August and he was scheduled to perform next year.

Before leaving, Johnny Hallyday has nevertheless managed to gather his loved ones, like his children Laura and David, his manager Sebastien Farran and his producer Jean-Claude Camus, who have all watched at his bedside. Died in the night of Tuesday 5 Wednesday, February 6, the idol of the young has made his last breath in the arms of his wife Laeticia.
