With all the super-hero who turns up on our screens for the past 10 years, one has the impression that they have always been there, it has always been easy for them. While no, not at all. There was a time when it was a big hassle to wear a sticky at the cinema.

And yet, well before the Spider-Man of Sam Raimi or the Blade 2, Del Toro, there had already been several attempts to adapt the super-hero to the screen in prestigious film. And, in the wake of the giga cardboard of the Batman from Tim Burton, Disney had already tried to find the right formula in producing and distributing the Adventures of The Rocketeer, directed in 1991 by the great Joe Johnston.

Lack of bowl, the film was mega planted and it will have to wait almost 20 years before the director will retry another superhero movie, Captain America : First Avenger. This is a shame, because even if Rocketeer has a lot of defects, it is nevertheless a very good entertainment as well as a vibrant tribute to the american cinema of the years 30-40.

If Rocketeer has since continued her career in comics, he could only come back at one time or another on the front of the stage. Well, lo and behold, the great day has arrived, except that Rocketeer ‘t come to film, but… the animated series for the tv channel Disney Jr ! It is the network itself that has announced by stating that this new version will abandon the retro look and its hero Cliff to dedicate himself to Kit, a young girl who gets a jetpack for his birthday and discovers that she must become the new incarnation of the hero. Needless to say that the series should take place in our time.

It will be surrounded by Tesh, a great friend and fan of gadget and his uncle Ambrose, a mechanic specialised in aviation. The series should target the children between 2 and 7 years, as well as their families, of course, and will consist of episodes cut into two segments of 11 minutes in the middle of a song each time. The broadcast is expected to begin current 2019 and if one is very glad that the Rocketeer will return, we just wish that it does not return to us.
