The entourage of the former head of State, Jacques Chirac cultivated discretion about it. A book, “President, the night comes falling” (Cherche-midi) reveals his daily life.

This is the story of a man who is more master of his own destiny. The disease prevents today Jacques Chirac. In his book, he also reveals that the head of State has been hospitalized in the greatest secrecy, in October 2015, to be absorbed inadvertently drug antagonists (tranquillizers and sleeping pills). He has collected the testimony of Daniel, the former deputy chief of staff of Jacques Chirac at the Elysée in 1995. A man of the shadows that fade in the wake of the future president of the Republic, as early as the year 70, and to which Claude Chirac has appealed in 2013 to accompany, to stimulate his father once the sphere of power left.
