Last night, the American channel The CW broadcast episode 12 of season 8 of The Vampire Diaries. Then discover our review of “What Are You?”.
Stefan Salvatore is human! At the end of episode 11 of season 8 of The Vampire Diaries , Bonnie injected him the remedy against vampirism after he violently killed Enzo. Stefan must now assume the consequences of his actions and live with a very big guilt. In “What Are You?” , Stefan is directly confronted with the horrors he committed while working for Cade, after being arrested by the police with – literally – blood on his hands. Fortunately for him, he can always count on the support and unconditional love of Damon and Caroline. While Damon makes a new pact with the devil, promising Cade to bring him the Maxwell’s newspaper in exchange for Stefan’s survival, Caroline releases Stefan from prison and helps her repair one of her faults.
Meanwhile, Alaric, Dorian and Matt continue to investigate the Maxwell family and mostly on strange dreams that Matt does. Soon they realize that they are directly related to Ethan Maxwell’s diary and that Matt is reliving what happened when the twelve strokes were sounded on the bell and that 100 witches died sacrificed . It is discovered that Ethan was close to one of the ancestors of Bonnie, a sorceress then, and that communicated by code with her. These are the sirens that have enchanted Ethan to ring the bell and Beatrice Bennet discovered her message too late, the witches then sacrificed to save the city from the fire of hell . While Matt is about to discover the purpose of his dreams, his condition worsens and Damon proposes to offer his blood to save him. He took the opportunity to steal Maxwell’s journal – which Alaric had refused to give him – so he could give it to Cade and save his brother.
Fortunately, Damon is not as stupid and narrow as he seems, since he has agreed to give the book to Cade because he thinks he knows how to kill Cade, thanks to all this Time he spent with Sybil. But while he is about to celebrate with Ric, before going to kill the devil, they are interrupted by Kai! Wait … what ?! Kai, back from the dead, disembarks without warning and in addition he seems to want to help them to kill Cade. This almost unexpected return is most likely related to what happened to Bonnie and her mother during the episode. If we thought that Bonnie had recovered her magic, it would rather seem that the latter is open the doors of another world . Which ? We can not wait to find out more about this, anyway, and know that you can already find all the details of episodes 13 and 14 of season 8 of The Vampire Diaries , on melty.
