This is no longer a secret for anybody now, we are very sad with the direction they took the series Walking Dead with the years. And we are convinced of one thing : all of this is to cause the dismissal of Frank Darabont.

A little reminder of the facts. When the series The Walking Dead comes on AMC in 2010, it is made under the aegis of Frank Darabont. The best possible choice as the director mastery of the genre horror, who has offered a The Mist have been captured two years earlier, with already a good part of the cast of the series. But the cloth burns quickly between the creator and the chain and Darabont was fired in season 2.

The following are familiar : the series continues on its path and veering gradually all the allies of the filmmaker while the man brings a lawsuit with AMC claiming unpaid bills of $ 280 million.

At the beginning, everything is going well…

In the midst of the open warfare, there are the actors, and in particular : Jeffrey DeMunn, the interpreter is a very attractive Dale Horvarth. A lot of fans have seen in the death of his character, in season 2, a punishment against the actor because he was an ally of Darabont. But today, it is the actor himself who puts the record straight at the microphone of Cleveland.com :

Frank Darabont

“The death of Dale, it was my decision. I was furious that Frank had been fired from the series. I spent a week without being able to breathe normally and then I understood that I could leave. So I called the chain and tell them that we were doing a series with zombies, they only had to kill me, because I no longer wanted to participate. And so this is what they have done. And it was a very big relief for me.”

One can only salute the loyalty and the honesty shown by Jeffrey DeMunn vis-à-vis Darabont and his principles, sitting probably on a juicy mint for the years that follow. Even if it is obvious that Dale would have happened to the pan at a given moment, we would like to see this courageous gesture more often. Especially when we talk about Walking Dead in fact.

Bravo Dale !
