Cinema 2 March, 2017

A few days after the episode 11 of season 7 of The Walking Dead, the actor Josh McDermitt confides in the choice of Eugene.
While waiting for the next episode and after we wondered if Season 7 of The Walking Dead was still going to end with a cliffhanger , we now suggest you come back a little on episode 11, “Hostiles and Calamities . ” Focusing on Eugene and his rather successful integration at the Sanctuary, this episode showed us new facets of the scientist but he especially worried the fans by showing Eugene submit completely to Negan in the final minutes. Is it really going from the “bad” side? Josh McDermitt gave some answers in an interview with Entertainment Weekly . “I know some tricks, but I can not say anything, I have to keep as an actor. Everybody asks me, even on the set. Andrew Lincoln (Rick) told me it was one of his favorite episodes and he asks me every day like, ” For real, seriously, Eugene has really gone to the other side? ”. I told him that I did not know and I do not want to know because if they tell me I will start playing in this direction and I do not want to be influenced .
A wise decision which makes the game of Eugene rather convincing since it is not certain that Eugene himself knows, in the long term, in which camp he is . It must be said that Negan finally allows him to be recognized and to have a semblance of self-esteem, something new and oh so appreciable. “He’s always had trouble with his confidence. When he cuts Negan who’s right in front of him with his bat to tell him he’s Negan, he’s more confident than he’s ever been . ” And this is not the only moment when Eugene is inhabited by a confidence he had never seen. “When he turns around and catches whatever he wants at the Sanctuary rather than standing in line, it’s a turning point for him. . So far Eugene had been pretentious when it came to intelligence and he tended to see people from above, but this self-confidence could well go beyond other aspects of his personality. King of adaptation, he used to change to survive better and this is what he continues to do at the Sanctuary. Until you know if this is real change or if it’s only for appearances, we’ve already revealed what was going to happen in episode 12 of season 7 of The Walking Dead . What do you think ? .
