The Comic Con is not only the opportunity to discover the trailer of season 8 of The Walking Dead, it is also the time to fill up with information about the sequel!
While we were unveiled to you recently the trailer of season 8 of The Walking Dead which was discovered like every year during the Comic Con of San Diego, it is now a small recap of what was Said during the panel of the convention that is proposed to you. The information is numerous and we have therefore selected for you the most interesting, starting with the end of the comics and therefore the series.
An End Without Rick Grimes
We start with a statement by Robert Kirkman that already has the end of his comic worship in mind. In a panel, the author explained that he had obviously not written it anywhere and that he would not talk about it, but that he was beginning to slowly move towards the end of the comics. He added that the story would continue well after the death of Rick Grimes. “As I said before, Rick will not survive until the end, and there will still be things to tell after his demise … in the next issue.” As expected, precision at the end made everyone laugh as Robert Kirkman loves to teaser the death of his characters to bring the fans up … and it works.
The death of Glenn and her child with Maggie
During a panel, Robert Kirkman returned to Glenn’s death – Steven Yeun’s first year of absence at Comic Con since the series was launched … When a fan asked him if he regretted killing Character, the author began by saying: “In case Steven Yeun sees this, no, not at all!”. Before adding more seriously: “Maybe a little … I watched the premiere season with the audience and when it happened, I thought it was a little too much.” It must be said that in terms of traumatic death, one could hardly do worse … But what is done is done, and it will not make us Glenn. Lauren Cohan also talked about Glenn and Maggie’s future baby, explaining that he or she would know everything about his family, be it his father but also Hershel, Beth and all the others. “Glenn wanted the child to witness his courage, humor and energy.” And we hope Maggie will show her the way.
But also…
New characters are scheduled in season 8, “but we will not tell you anything for now,” said Scott Gimple without surprise. Moreover, we do not expect to see a solution against the zombies emerge since Robert Kirkman is categorical on this. “I like the fact that this is not a series about scientists working on such a task.” Because The Walking Dead is above all a series of survivors and that’s what it will remain. For his part Chandler Riggs has confessed that he has been waiting for a musical episode for years and it is hoped that his supplications will not have fallen in deaf ears since we would really like to see that too. Waiting for new information, discover the season 8 release date of The Walking Dead on melty if not already done!
