The cast of the series The Witcher, with Henry Cavill, has been unveiled.

The first has a CV almost blank, except for a new adaptation of the War of The worlds currently shooting. The second is almost unknown also, but had a role in the series Wanderlust with Toni Collette.

The Witcher has also cast Jodhi May (view in Game of Thrones) as queen Calanthe, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson in the Eist, Adam Levy Mousesack, MyAnna Buring (The runs down a ruffled amazingt) Tissaia, Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read by the young witches, and Millie Brady princess Renfri.

Again, the choice is clear : do not rely on well-known actors, but draw among talent more or less new. The casting of Henry Cavill very popular would have been able to indicate the contrary, but Netflix has certainly put too much trust in the brand to allow the budget to swell by engaging participants in the plan.

Lauren Schmidt, passed on Daredevil or The Defenders, is creator and showrunner of the series. The shooting should not delay to begin with, and no broadcast date has not yet been announced.
