When there is more, still ! The madness of making reboots a thing and remakes is not ready to stop and, certainly, Hollywood seems determined to remake everything. No, but anyway, Magnum, what… It is not.

And yet, this is indeed what will occur. If you remember well, last October, we discussed the decision of the channel to CBS to resurrect the old series Magnum, starring Tom Selleck, in a reboot, which only has the secret. Series-flagship of the 80’s, it featured Thomas Magnum, a Vietnam veteran, moved to Hawaii and was working with Mr. Higgins to solve a whole bunch of surveys at the wheel of his Ferrari.

Thomas Magnum, in a full effort

In idea, the new Magnum will stage a veteran of the Afghanistan and Higgins change of sex in passing. The series will be developed by the show runners of making reboots a thing of MacGyver and Hawaii, police state, which is still damn cold in the back. However, the chain seems determined to realize his project and nothing can stop it.

A survey that requires a certain attention to detail

It was, however, a big mystery, beyond its casting and its date of dissemination : the person who was going to put these new adventures in the scene. Hence we learn today via the website Deadline that the chain has set its sights on Justin Lin to realize at least the pilot. And this is a new rather reassuring as the director is a safe bet of the action movie modern. After all, he is still 4 Fast & the Furious and the tv format, he knows, because he has made a part of season 2 of True Detective.

Only thing left is to cross our fingers that the show runners do foirent not in their script and that the cast is up to par. It is not said that we can’t wait to see this new version, it would be great if Magnum stays in our memories but, given that we don’t have a choice, get a little motivation as we can what.
