Finally, things are rushing to the Watchmen, and, somewhere, it is so much better. Especially if it’s Damon Lindelof.

This is not because we don’t like Lost that we have something against Damon Lindelof, quite the contrary. Moreover, in the same order of idea, this is not because we don’t like Lost, you look, necessarily Arrow. We can very well get two and be happy by looking at things that are more intelligent than these two things (kisses Thomas, tu te reconnaitras). It does not mean that after the end of The Leftovers, Lindelof had us all surprised, admitting that he absolutely wanted to do a series on the Watchmen. And from the start, it was a question of having HBO behind to produce and disseminate.

Unfortunately, at the end of July, Lindelof himself admitted that things did not go any really, and that at the time there had still been no meeting with the channel to discuss it seriously. The world of television is at least as magical as that of cinema, seemingly, the two parties have spent summer holidays very productive, as we learn today, via Lindelof himself on his Instagram, that the production of the series is now officially launched.

In fact, the showrunner reveals the photo of a statue, struck by the words “In gratitude”, a direct reference to the Owls who, in the comics, has the same object during his retirement. A sign that does not lie and that proves that at least one team of writers was hired to write the series. After, for the rest, the mystery, the more total is still hovering. It is not known when the shooting will take place, who will conduct the series, what will be the cast and when Watchmen will be released.

But, at the same time, it doesn’t hurt for the time being. With a project as huge and complicated as this one, it is better to go step by step. In any case, this is a very good thing of made.
