Fans of Spawn, be aware that you will soon be avenged, as after years particularly dark, the offspring of hell will return to the cinema, out of the hands of its creator. And this is not nothing.

The remake-reboot (call it what you want) to Spawn, we talk about it for years, and it is the fantasy for so long that when it was realised that this time it was well and truly gone, so it took us a good time to believe it was true. Indeed, even today we still have a doubt, while Todd McFarlane and Jason Blum are working on it very hard.

It’s not going to have to expect a big blockbuster, however, Todd McFarlane wanting to keep a total control on its creation, to avoid the same mistakes that the film of 1997, and wishing before all of us deliver a great horror movie with super-heroes in it. If it is clearly attractive, we also wonder how a developer with no real experience will be able to accomplish such a tour de force. But let us leave these considerations aside for the moment because there is another great new on Spawn.

The most faithful of the character know very well that, as soon as one speaks of adaptation of the hero, one cannot make the impasse on the excellent series produced and broadcast by HBO 20 years ago. Monument of murky, drama and aestheticism gothic-modern of the most orgasmic, which it is necessary well to be honest, waned somewhat during its season 3. But the whole was of a high quality and, for the time, it was particularly unusual.

And well did you know that in addition to the new movie, Todd McFarlane has in mind the desire to re-create a new animated series as it comes to make micro ScreenGeek :

“First I’m going to remove the film on Spawn, and then, as we will always have the rights to animated for broadcast tv, we are going to look. It also requires that I find the way to get Keith David in the film. Just for a row.”

For those that don’t know, Keith David was the actor who lent his voice cavernous and intimidating to Spawn in the tv series and it worked beautifully. We therefore hope that all goes well for this project, because there, find Spawn film and television in great shape, it’s totally a childhood dream is about to become a reality.
