The shooting of the serial criminal in the shallows of Los Angeles, produced by NWR, to be precise.

After two successive passages on the Croisette, Nicolas Winding Refn unveiled with its mesmerizing The Neon Demon at the Cannes film festival 2016. Overwhelmed by the film projects, we wondered what movie would be his priority. But that was until last April. We learned then that the Danish director was next to the big screen some time – like Jane Campion, Martin Scorsese, Steven Soderbergh, the sisters Wachowski… – to write, produce and direct his own series : Too Old to Die Young.

The filmmaker has remained quiet since the announcement of his series before you post, this weekend, a little video of the announcement, carried by Angel of Death Hank Williams, on his Twitter account. A tweet with the start date of filming : November 2017 in Los Angeles.

Things become clearer, therefore, to Too Old to Die Young. As a reminder, the series will focus on the daily life of a police officer grief-stricken following the murder of his teammate, in the shallows of the criminal life of Los Angeles. Around him, the killers, the yakuza, mexican cartels, the Russian mafia and gangs of teenage killers. A main character played by Miles Teller.

With a little luck, the show produced by Amazon might arrive on our screens in the year 2018.
