It is sometimes difficult to know for whom to vote, especially when two or more series you adore find themselves in the same pool. To help you make your choices, the editor of melty offers you daily articles that recount the major serial events of the 2016-2017 season. Today, we propose among others to come back on the most badass duos of the season in the different series in competition. Warning, this article is likely to contain spoilers.
Lagertha and Ragnar – Vikings
Season 4 of Vikings was the moment of reconciliation in some way for Lagertha and Ragnar , before the fall of the latter. Indeed, he convinces her to accompany him to Paris for a new battle and attempt to conquer the city. We were thrilled to see them collaborate again because they work really well together and they are probably the two characters we love most in the series. Unfortunately, they will never again be a badass duo and that is why they deserve to be mentioned.
Red and White – Orange Is the New Black
Season 5 of Orange Is the New Black is epic, as much because the prisoners take control of the prison as for the beautiful tribute that makes to the character of Poussey Washington. Many characters work as a duo in this series, such as Alex and Piper, Flaca and Martitza, and Angie and Leanne. However, the one that marked us most this season is the duo formed by Red and Blanca, both allies to destroy Piscatella . An unlikely and effective pair, which made us laugh and who did not shrink from anything to take revenge on the guard.
Luke and Claire – Luke Cage
In September 2016, Netflix unveiled the series of its third hero Marvel: Luke Cage . This hero who is not afraid of bullets and possesses a superhuman strength to give twists and turns to those who wanted to harm Harlem, but a hero never works alone. If she was also seen in Daredevil and Jessica Jones , Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) was never as badass as Luke Cage . Now, we can not wait to find them both in The Defenders .
Dean and Sam – Supernatural
As every year, Sam and Dean Winchester have had their share of demons and enemies against whom fighting season 12 is no exception . This season, their enemy was none other than Lucifer, and the Winchester brothers once again had to show boldness, ingenuity and strength to defeat Lucifer. If this was not done without sacrifices, Sam and Dean proved once again that they were still among the brothers the most badass of the small screen.
Sasha and Rosita – The Walking Dead
If only one duo of Season 7 of The Walking Dead is to be selected, it would surely be the one formed by Rosita and Sasha when they both decide to go to the Sanctuary . Certainly they do not kill Negan, but Rosita and Sasha are brave enough to set up their plan and get both of them. At the same time, with each their specialty and their spirit of beating, it would have been a pity to deprive themselves of it!
Simmons and Daisy – Agents of SHIELD
We are used to hear about the duo Fitz / Simmons when we talk about Agents of SHIELD and yet this season is another duet that caught our attention: Jemma Simmons and Daisy Johnson . The two women ended up practically alone against all of them in episode 15 of season 4 of Agents of SHIELD . They then had to take things in hand to save their team from the Framework and from the LMD attack. As touching as they are swinging, Jemma and Daisy form a duo of shock.
