In October 2014, Johnny Hallyday shared with the magazine Télérama his lack of taste for contemporary music and its disagreements music with her daughters, Jade and Joy.

On the 6th of December last, Johnny Hallyday has died of a cancer of lungs. After a grand national tribute and more intimate funeral on the island of Saint Bartholomew, the public is slowly mourning the loss of the person who brought the rock in France.

In the magazine Télérama, in October 2014, the singer was on his shift with the music of today : “today they call rock ‘n’ roll, a little bit no matter what. To be honest, the music of today, what I hear in his set, me swells a little. I’m not talking about Stromae I’ve seen in concert. It is good at what it does, my girls love. But this is not my music. “

Johnny Hallyday was a father present for his two daughters adopted Jade and Joy. And, as a parting gift, had been invited on the stage with him for his last concert, in July last. But between the singer 74-year-old and his daughters are 13 and 9 years, as in all families, differences of tastes existed. Johnny Hallyday was, however, able, in more than 50 years of career, to keep his title of rock star, be renewed and remain in the air, surrounding himself with contemporary artists like Yodelice and Christophe Miossec.
