James Gunn, Rian Johnson, Dan Harmon, they all have something to hide, but only one of them has been eliminated. The sentence is irrevocable : the social networks that is wrong.

Unfortunately for James Gunn, it is now the stratosphere as a whole that is aware of his misfortune with Disney. If you ever are not aware of the history, it explains everything here. In the meantime we are going to do it briefly : James Gunn has been transferred by the company to the large ears following the tweets disturbing.

A few days later, it was the turn of Rian Johnson, the director and co-writer of Star Wars : The Last Jedi to purge his Twitter account. The filmmaker, an affiliate of Disney, has decided to take the bull by the horns and deliberately erasing more than 20,000 tweets to his account. Story to protect themselves from the “trolls of the internet” as he says so well.

“I want 20 000 tweets in the least, a video removed and a ghost account, please”

A little before him, it was the turn of Dan Harmon, the creator of the cartoon jubilant Rick and Morty to be judged by the internets. One of the drivers of his sketches dating back to 2009 was found on channel101 and then was released on the site 4chan last weekend (i.e. around the controversy of James Gunn). This video titled Daryl is a parody of the series Dexter where we see Dan Harmon in action, imagining himself stopping serial killers in the breach when they are young.

In this excerpt of five minutes, we saw the writer burst into a house and simulate a sexual act by rubbing his private parts against a doll baby. Immediately the short video has made the rounds of social networks and was shared on various Twitter accounts.

“Uh, it’s still hot not Rick ?”

The entire internet community being more or less estomaquée and in the face of the rise of the controversy, Dan Harmon has preferred to immediately delete his Twitter account July 23, last. In the aftermath, the writer has presented its flattest apology via a press release, as relayed by Deadline, among others.

“In 2009, I made a driver that tried to parody the series Dexter, but that did not offend people. I realized that the content was inappropriate and I have removed the video immediately. No one should have to see what you have seen, and for this I apologize sincerely.”

It took then very little time to Adult Swim, the television channel that broadcasts Rick and Morty, to take the floor on this matter. These were explained in a letter that :

“The video content to be offensive to Dan Harmon, who recently reappeared shows an error of judgment and does not reflect the type of content we’re looking for. Dan acknowledged this error and apologized. He understands that this content has no place on our channel. “

Almost a happy ending for Dan Harmon, who will (finally) be able to devote himself quietly to his next season of Rick and Morty. Indeed, it has almost never seen the light of day.

“Damn, now we want SEASON 4”
