Game of Thrones: Confirmed spin-offs, 3 things you really want to see
That’s it, the news has officially fallen and the Game of Thrones saga should soon have one or more spin-offs on HBO, but what will they talk about?
We announced it yesterday, HBO is preparing to develop 4 different spin-offs for Game of Thrones and as much to tell you that the news made us rather pleased. It must be said that there remain only two seasons to the adaptation of the saga of George RR Martin and that the whole universe will miss us much when it is finished. To be able to find a bit of Westeros and characters that we know or have heard about in spin-offs is therefore rather nice. But until we know how many spin-offs will really be broadcast, we have plenty of time to speculate on what we would like to see . We offer you the three stories you would really like to see and do not hesitate to share what you would like to see on the screen.
The Rebellion of Robert Baratheon
It’s a classic, but you do not let it go. Even though we’ve heard a lot about it, we’re always keen to see the years before Robert Baratheon came to power, Mad King Aerys’ madness attacks at the Harrenhal tournament, we’re all interested. This would also allow us to know a little more about Rhaegar and Lyanna, the parents of Jon Snow, and thus make several fascinating links with the 8 seasons of Game of Thrones that will now be completed . Between drama, action, romance and epic battles, this period has everything it takes to become a success.
The Adventures of Dunk and Egg
We’ve already talked about this one too and for good reason, it’s also a must in the universe of George RR Martin for inveterate fans. The Tales of Dunk and Egg tells the story of Duncan the Great, a knight, when he meets Aegon V Targaryen, the youngest son of the royal family. Their adventures are thus told in the form of news, in particular the tournaments to which Aegon, under the pseudo d’Œuf, takes part . Since all this happens about 90 years before the events of the Iron Throne, it would allow us to have a series linked to its universe but full of novelties.
The Dance of the Dragons
Mentioned by Shireen Baratheon in Game of Thrones ‘season 5, Dragons’ Dance is the name given to the Targaryen’s civil war to seize the Iron Throne, which opposed Aegon II to his half-sister Rhaenyra. The end of the war was marked by the death of the two Targaryen and the son of Rhaenyra, Aegon III, was crowned king. This fascinating period would plunge us into the heart of the Targaryen dynasty to find out more about this family that is powerful but sometimes cursed . Dragons and bloody battles would be on the program but also betrayals and madness, enough to reserve us episodes as surprising as violent.
Given the vastness of the universe of George RR Martin , the possibilities of adaptations are very numerous and we remain convinced that whatever the story that ends on small screen, it will please us. While waiting to know which projects will be selected and especially which will be concretized, we wondered if the promo pictures of the season 7 of Game of Thrones had not spoiled the death of a character . And you, what spin-offs would you like to see on HBO?
