While we all feasted in front of the trailer of the spin-off fanmade Harry Potter centered on Voldemort , the editor of melty offers you to come back on the most detestable characters of the franchise. Be careful, we do not necessarily speak here of the big bad guys like Voldemort or Bellatrix, who are some of the characters we love to hate, but rather those who made us roll our eyes or simply made us want to put a good slap – or two ! We are not going to lie, the choice of the characters was not necessarily very simple, because we realized that there were quite a few who came out through our eyes. So here are our top 5 of the most detestable protagonists of the wise Harry Potter:
5 – Percy Weasley
Percy is by far the least appreciated member of the Weasley family, and for good reason he has more or less betrayed his family to secure a brilliant career in the Ministry of Magic. Of course he comes back on the right side of the force in the end, but we do not forget all those moments when he was unpleasant and even bad with Harry or the other members of his family. He even tried to coax Ron to stop being friends with Harry and get closer to Umbridge .
4 – Gilderoy Lockhart
f you did not understand the attraction that Gilderoy Lockhart could arouse in some female characters of the Harry Potter saga , welcome to the club! Pompey, cowardly and a liar, the Defense of the Dark Arts teacher is far from being the hero he claims, and he puts the lives of Ron, Harry and by extension Ginny in danger as they descend In the Chamber of Secrets. So yes, we have a little trouble for him when Harry, Ron and Hermione cross his path to St. Mungo’s, but hey, it’s karma!
3 – Rita Skeeter
To create such a character, JK Rowling did not really have to carry the press in his heart. Rita Skeeter certainly represents everything that can be hated in some journalists, ready to do anything to sell, even if it means creating one or two scandals in passing. She did not hesitate to talk about Harry and Hermione, without worrying about the consequences, the truth or the deontology . Fortunately, Hermione finds a good way to avenge this viper – or rather this beetle .
2 – Vernon Dursley
Difficult to find redeeming traits at Vernon Dursley, besides we have sought and we do not find any. It is one of the main reasons why Harry experienced a deplorable and loveless childhood and he has always had an aggressive and unfair behavior with his nephew. Where Petunia and Dudley were able to show some sympathy for Harry, Vernon always saw him as a danger and an abnormal being. So, we’ll always laugh so much when we see him fall from the window of Harry’s room and crash into the hedge!
1 – Dolores Ombrage
It’s fine to say but Dolores Umbridge is by far the most sadistic character in the Harry Potter saga, even before Voldemort. Which is not to say much. Between torture, abusive restrictions and abuse of power, the Temporary Director of Hogwarts was not exemplified by her kindness and gentleness despite her love for kittens and pink cardigans . One of the most enjoyable moments of the saga is the one where the Weasley twins take their revenge on this cowhide – even if one is as fond of all the moments when she is confronted with McGonagall!
