Love, Death & the Robots of David Fincher and Tim Miller will be at the crossroads of science fiction and fantasy, horror, and comedy.

Netflix has announced the launch of a new animated series, Love, Death & Robots, created by David Fincher (Mindhunter) and Tim Miller (Deadpool). The series is intended for an adult audience and will be made up of 18 short episodes (5 to 15 minutes). Tim Miller has spoken of his excitement in an official statement :

Love, Death & Robots

“Love, Death & the Robots is my dream project, it combines my love of animation, and incredible stories. Midnight movies, comics, books and magazines fiction fantasy I have always been inspired, but they were relegated to the culture geek and nerd to which I belonged. I am so excited that the art scene had quite changed in order for the animation to adult, to become a subject broader cultural “.

Love, Death & Robots is original in its execution. A different team of filmmakers from around the world worked on each of the episodes, which will all have an imprint of its own. The series of anthology will therefore styles of animation varied from the traditional 2D to the CGI 3D photorealistic.

Love, Death & Robots is definitely the way for David Fincher to be reconciled with the animation since its project to adapt the comic cult The Goon had been aborteddue to lack of resources. A part of what had drawn him in the comic, to know a language very raw and drawings of bloody, will may be in Love, Death & Robots since on the menu there will be the science fiction, horror, comedy and fantasy.

While waiting to learn more, we leave you with the first visual of the series.
