Mary Poppins Returns: Emily Blunt on a first photo of the new Disney production

A first photo of Mary Poppins Returns was unveiled and it takes no more to put us star-eyes.
Disney is in full nostalgia and can not help but revisit his great classics! While La Belle and La Bête will be released in only a few days at the cinema , it is the first official photo of a completely different project that we discover today, a first image of the English actress Emily Blunt who will lend her features to The legendary nanny Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins Returns . Unlike other Disney movies like Cinderella, The Book of the Jungle or Beauty and the Beast , this is not a reboot but rather a sequel. The plot of the film takes place in London in the 1930s, during the Great Depression. We will find Michael and Jane (played by Ben Whishaw and Emily Mortimer) now grown up. The first one lives on Cherry Tree Lane with her 3 children and their governess, Ellen (played by Julie Walters).
While Michael is struck by a drama, Mary Poppins, the enigmatic nanny returns to the life of the Banks family and will do everything to make joy and wonder reappear in their lives. In the casting of this new adventure of Mary Poppins we will also find Lin-Manuel Miranda , Meryl Streep or Colin Firth. At the realization we find Rob Marshall to whom we owe especially Into The Woods and Chicago ! We do not know for you, but we really look forward!
