Tired of super-heroes are always successful, powerful, strong, loved by all ? Then “The Boys” is the new series for Amazon that is made for you !

Expected in the course of 2019, “The Boys” is the new series of Amazon Prime Video. The streaming platform, hopes to and well, thanks to this series, to be launched in the mode of super-heroes. Has an exception : “The Boys” is actually an adaptation of a comic series of the Gareth Ennis, author of Preacher, and who takes to reverse the super-hero.

The message is clear and limpid

In the world created by Gareth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the super-heroes have kind of taken the melon. The popularity is so mounted to the head, that they depart into a spin. Suddenly, a team of vigilantes marginal, who calls himself “The Boys” decide to go into a fight in the super-hero foil. In question, the Boys are convinced that these beings of perfection with incredible powers threaten the world and safety of the citizens. There remains only one option : put it in the right way.

The trailer for “The Boys” opens on the character of Madelyn Stillwell, camped by Elisabeth Shue, who invites you to have faith in his super-hero, and his group. In Vought International : they are beautiful, they are muscular, they are strong, valiant, brave, and they have super costumes past generations; in short, everything to please. How can I not believe in this pretty propaganda, and do not crack in the face pretty smile tight and forced to Elisabeth Shue ?

Will Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, known for their humor decadent on the series Preacher, as executive producers of this new series. The duo is also expected to be joined by screenwriter Eric Kripke, who has worked previously on Supernatural (aka the series that never ends never) or even The Prophecy of the clock. The pilot of the series itself will be directed by Dan Trachtenberg, director of an episode of Black Mirror (Playtest) and 10 Cloverfield Lane.

Side casting, the series will be given by, among others, Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Jennifer Esposito, Chace Crawford or Jack Quaid. And for the record, Simon Pegg, who has served as a model of inspiration for one of the heroes of the comicbook, will make its debut in the series in a small role, story to bring a smile to the few fans of the comic. If The Boys do not have release date defined, the series should be published in 2019.
