We are going to talk about ‘The Haunting of Hill House,” THE series that has taken us totally short a few weeks ago and that has been haunting us since. When you see the quality of the thing, it is a little also normal.
What else can we say about The Haunting of Hill House , which has not yet been said ? Frankly, we don’t see. All the world is lost in analysis and other analysis to try to find out if the series of Mike Flanagan contains no more mysteries. In our case, it seems to have done the trick even if there is still something that is annoying.
Hill House, so
Indeed, shortly after the broadcast of the series, it has been hypothesized that she could return for a season 2. If it is difficult to see how the story could continue, it is clearly a second-season mode anthology with new characters and maybe even another house, which would be a hell of a problem compared to the title of the series.
If for the moment nothing seems to be confirmed, and that the same Mike Flanagan does not seem decided, it appears clear that everybody thinks very hard, Netflix including, when we see the success of the first season. But, if this ever occurs, Flanagan wants things to be clear from the outset and that the spectator does not leave with false hopes. It is as well that he repeated his intention to make a second season completely detached from the first microphone to TV Line :
Trauma, pain, sadness
“I don’t think we will be revisiting the characters. In my opinion, their courses have arrived exactly where they needed to be, so I don’t see the need to revisit these characters, even in the form of caméos. I want to be remembered of them in the state in which we have left. And I want that we leave them to live their lives.”
So here is another confirmation, if need there was, that in the case where the series would go for a second season, there would be no link with the first. In the passage, when we read this short statement, one cannot help to note that the vocabulary chosen by Flanagan says a lot about his commitment to the project. He loves his characters, considers them as living beings and to respect them. This also explains why the series is so good and moving. And that is increasingly rare, so it had to be the highlight.
Someone will re-open the red door in the near future ?
