When we think of soap-opera for teenagers in the 90’s, the French immediately think of Helen and the boys. But this would be to forget the model, the mentor : Beverly Hills.

Because yes, there would have never had all the crap AB Productions if Beverly Hills had not paved the way first. Created by Aaron Spelling in 1990, the series has very quickly been a huge success for 10 seasons, giving rise to a spin-off just as popular, Melrose Place, before turning off to reborn from its ashes with a reboot in 2008, 90210 Beverly Hills : New generation, who know 5 seasons.
